Lockett graduates course
Air Force DOD Civilian Darrell L.
Lockett has graduated from the commu-
nications-computer systems mainte-
nance officer course at Keesler Air
Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.
Students were taught maintenance
management policies, staff roles, quali-
ty control procedures, and logistics
support techniques.
Lockett is the son of Leonard and
Gertrude Lockett of Route 2, Sweet
Water.

recruit training

St Linden, recently completed recruit
training.
The 1993 graduate of Linden High
School joined the Marine Corps in
September 1992.
During the training cycle with
Recruit Training Regiment, Marine
Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.
C recruits are taught the basics of bat-
tlefield survival, introduced to typical
military daily routine, and personal and
professional standards.
All recruits participate in an active
physical conditioning program and gain
proficiency in a variety of military
skills including first aid, rifle marks-
manship and close-order drill.
Teamwork and self-discipline are
emphasized throughout the cycle.
