a special time of year. We
rejoice when we celebrate the
birth of our Savior, Jesus
Christ. It's not too early to
start getting ready for the cele-
bration. But let's not forget
why we celebrate-to stay in
memory of the birth of Jesus,
the son of God.
I met Mrs. Daphne
Etheridge and her two sons at
the grocery store this week-
end. The boys were excited
because they save pennies,
nickels, and dimes during the
month and then cash the
change in, with the help of
Morn and the machine that
counts the change, and returns
it. This is John Thomas' and
William's spending money. I
think that is a marvelous
encouragement for children.
These youngsters are heading
in a positive direction. Way to
go Mom and Dad and boys!

working on the old home place
of the late Ms. Willie Downey.
We enjoyed their company and
they had a chance to visit with

took supper with Mike and
Debbie Wartberg.
