He was born April 3, 1938 in Sweet Water, AL. He was a retired paper mill pipe fitter. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Dixon (J erod) Loper of Toxey, AL; a son, Jim (Allyson) Dixon of Linden, AL; two brothers, Robert Dixon of , Linden, AL; and Dennis Dixon of Thomasville, AL; a sister, Lavada Dixon of Linden, AL; two grandchildren, Kristeen (Quwan) Drake and Jennifer Cummings, four great grand- children, Sarah Cummings, Abi Cummings, William Dixon Braxton Moore, and Kristina Drake, sev- eral nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Deborah Bom officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery.
