He spent four days hospitalized at St. Vincent Hospital following his surgery. He has been bom- barded with visits, food, gifts, calls, and, so much assistance. He looks refreshed, and pushing forward toward recovery. He thanks each of you for your prayers and support. Marengo County School System will conduct the Kindergarten and First Grade Pre-Registration Clinic on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and from 12:00 noon until 2:30 p.m. A child who will be five (5) years old before September 2nd may pre-register for kindergarten. Children not already attending kindergarten and who will be six (6) before September 2nd are urged to pre-register for first grade on Friday, May 4th also. A Certificate of Immunization must be provid- ed to school officials for each child enrolling. The Alabama Committee of Public Health states that children between the ages of four (4) and six (6) receive a second dose of measles vaccine. Proof of the second dose will be required for each new kindergarten/first grade student at pre-reg~slra- tion. The Marengo County Health Department in Linden is the responsible agency for administering this vaccine. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and must bring a certified birth certifi- cate, social security card, and Thomaston; John Essex High School in Demopolis; Marengo High School in Dixons Mills; and Sweet Water High School in Sweet Water.
