She lost her four month battle against illness and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held in honor of her life, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Kirk Funeral Home in Demopolis, AL. Visitation will be held at 10:00 to be fol- lowed by the service at 11:00. All family and friends will be received at the family's home in Gallion immediately fol- lowing the service. She is survived by her hus- band of 44 years L.A. Walker (Gallion), and her children; Robbie McLauchlin (Bey) of Lakeland, FL, Tammy Gano (Shannon) of Lakeland, FL, Patty Tillas of Newport News, VA, Wendy Barton (Ernie) of Chicago, IL, Rebel ~Wilson (Donnie) of Lakeland, FL, Randy McLauchlin (Marcelle) of Palatka, FL, Lee Walker, Jr of Auburndale, FL, Randy Walker of Aubumdale, FL, Gina Bardin (Lowell) of Lakeland, FL, Angela Hinson (Mike) of Demopolis, and Mark Walker (Rebecca) of Demopolis, seventeen grand- children, 16 great grandchil- dren, Sylvia Jordan, sister, of Hoschton, GA, Louie Alday (Mary), brother, of Crawfordville, FL, Janie Paul (Wayne), sister, of Dover, FL, Kenny Fleming, brother, of Dothan, and many beloved aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. She was born June 15, 1941 in Donalsonville Georgia to William Frank Alday (deceased) and Georgia Alday Hart (deceased). She spent her life as a homemaker and mother of 12. She was preceded in death by her son Paul McLauchlin of Lakeland, FL. Funeral services were held at Lewis Chapel AME Zion Church in Linden. Reverend Richard Lankster was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were family and friends. Internment was at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Linden. Marjorie will be sorely missed. She leaves to forever cherish her memory: daugh- ters Adriana and Aundria Jones of Long Beach, CA; Sister Rosia Brown of Linden; Aunt Lola Jones of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was born August 22, 1949 in Linden and was one of three blessings to William Brown and Gertie Poellnitz- Brown. She was affectionate- ly known as "Doll" by her family and close friends. Marjorie was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She attended and was a member of the choir at Lewis Chapel AME Church in Linden and a faithful member of Crusade Christian Faith Center of Los Angeles, California. Marjorie grew up in Linden where she graduated from George P. Austin in 1967. After high school she began a long but fulfilling journey of educating herself and others. Marjorie attended and graduated Alabama and Selma State Universities where she received a B.A. in Education. While pursuing her goals as an educator Marjorie moved to Compton Califomia where she met and married the love of her life and soul mate, the late Wallace H. Jones. There were happily married for 24 years. As a loving wife and moth- er, Marjorie continued pursu- ing her career in teaching at Lynwood High School, where she taught special education. Later, Marjorie transitioned to teaching preschool at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. While working she continued her education and received a dou- ble B.A. degree in education from Union Institute in Compton, California. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Jones and parents William and Gertie Poellnitz-Brown, and her sister Rosalind Harris. Eulene Bradford Dixon Funeral services were held on October 23 Eulene Bradford Dixon went to be with the Lord Monday night, October 20, 2014. She was born in Scyrene, on June 4, 1928. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and communi- ty for 43 years. She was a lov- ing wife, mother, grandmoth- er, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Funeral services were held at Liberty Baptist Church on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at l l:00am with Rev. Larry Darden and Rev. Bill Faircloth officiating. Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. She is survived by her hus- band, Tommy Clifford Dixon of Thomasville; son, Tom Roger (Mary) Dixon of Tuscaloosa; daughter, Patricia Dixon of Jackson; four grand- children, Tom Roger (Sandy) Dixon II of Tuscaloosa; Roman Paul (Ashley) Dixon of McCalla; Rhonda Moon (Jeff') Forbes of San Antonio, TX; Jonathan (Abby) Moon of Columbus, MS; and fifteen great grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews. Special mention to Mary Sue Moore, Carilyn Andrews, Faye Slade, and a special friend, Pam Wade. Eulene was preceded in death by her father, Watt Bradford, mother, Minnie Jade Duke Bradford, six brothers and two sisters. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Linder Dixon Moon and grandchild, Anthony Scott Dixon. Avery Carl Digmon, 82 of Sweet Water, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. He was a retired mill- wright for James River Corporation in Pennington. He was also a U.S. Army Mr. Samuel (Bill Bo) Robinson was born to the late Mr. General and Nora Robinson in Marengo County. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Union Baptist Church in Vineland. Carson Amari Lewis Graveside services were held October 25 Korean Veteran. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Nanafalia Baptist Church with Chaplain Clay Davis, Rev. Robert Baker, and Rev. Craig Gavin officiating. Burial will follow in the Nanafalia Cemetery. Inez Agee Evans was born December 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Dan and Leona Curry Agee of Magnolia. She accepted sanctification and became a member of Mt. Pilgrim Primitive Baptist Church. She later married the late Noah Evans and transitioned to Paradise Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her beauffful memories four chil- dren: Inez Evans Craig, Dayton, Fannie Evans, Jacksonville, Arkansas; Noah (Bertha) Evans, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Angela (Terry) Brown, Jacksonville, Arkansas; and one grandson she considered as her own, Eddie (Tina) Glover, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Four grandchildren: Alexanderand Michael Evans, Fort Walton Beach, Florida: Taurean Brown, Claremont, California, and Amanda Brown, Jacksonville, Arkansas; three great-grand- children: Aliyah Glover, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Zayvious Gonzales, Winslow, Arizona; and Nicholas Glover, Grand Rapid, Michigan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
